Sing Down the Moon

Author: Scott O'Dell

Students Reading This Book:

Ivyanna, Nadia, and Deni.
Characters:
Bright Morning, White Deer, Running Bird, Mom, Dad, tall boy, and old bear.

Inferences:My group infers that Bright Morning is very brave because she went through alot. Like she gets stolen every now and then and has to try to get out of it. She gets tooken to a whole nother family not knowing what to do. They, as in the Saranaids, killed Bright's Mornings dog with a rifle. The Saranaids stole Bright Morning and White Deer. Suddenly they are not at home with their parents to protect them. Its so sad that Bright Morning's dog is gone, in heaven and not coming back.
Slavers tookn Indian girls to be slaves in the white town. The mothers of Indian girls only wants them to marry strong Indian men! Indians had to leave there homes just because the soldiers told them to or else they would be killed.
Soldiers were able to do anything they want to the indians.
I think that an important part of this book is when tall boy gets taken away.
We think that the theme of this book is stand for what you belive in. We also think that anether theme is home is where your heart is. We think that one more theme could be never give up and look twared the futuer not the past. anether theme could be dont take things for granted.
